## At a Glance
Serene, watchful, and radiating the quiet authority of someone who has seen the worst the multiverse can offer and chosen to build something good from it. Known as the "Sage of Goldenfields" — people travel from across the Sword Coast seeking her counsel. Finds solace in nature, the company of a tight circle of friends, and the gardens she's coaxed into unprecedented bloom. Large gatherings and politics exhaust her, echoing old traumas.
Under the calm runs deep water. Vivid nightmares still pull her back into the Shard of Evil. Dark caverns and ocean depths are triggers. There are walls around her heart — built from past betrayals and the memory of dying with Baldric's name on the air — that even Kalanthel's love hasn't fully dissolved. She views death not as an end but a transition, a philosophy born from personal experience.
Her druidic powers are extraordinary. Rare flora once believed extinct thrive under her touch. Goldenfields' yields defy natural limits. Memorials to fallen comrades — groves and fountains — dot the landscape she tends. She mentors young druids, teaching them not just the lore of nature but the wisdom of someone who died, came back, and chose to keep going.
## Personality
Sharp, sarcastic, fiercely competent, and deeply kind beneath the thorns. Mya's default mode was exasperated practicality — her job was to keep the party alive, and when she failed, it would be their fault. She hired Willow for security without telling her. She expressed concern about Baldric's many enemies with the tone of someone filing a complaint. She used Wind Walk, Misty Step, and Druid Grove with clinical tactical precision while the rest of the party did whatever the hell they wanted.
But the warmth was always there. She stopped to talk with suffering people in the Field Ward. She built a drow sanctuary because her mother taught her that the drow who saved her life proved an entire race could be redeemed. She reincarnated allies without hesitation — giving Jalester Silvermane a half-orc body, giving Baldric a High Elf body, never asking whether it was convenient.
Her complicated bond with Baldric defined much of her emotional arc. She was killed because Graz'zt understood that destroying Mya was how you break Baldric. Even trapped in the Shard of Evil, she reached through dreams to guide him: sarcastic commentary, words of encouragement, and one constant message — "Find me."

## Background
**The Broe Family:** Born to Ralnor and Rania Broe, nomadic moon elves originally from the High Forest who settled in Waterdeep's Field Ward near the Snobeedle Orchard and Meadery. They lived off the land, sold produce, and knew peace. Rania became close friends with Remi Haventree — Remi's most "normal" friend, someone outside the ruling class.
**The Drow Raid:** Drow raiders attacked the Broe family. Mya was off playing when she heard the slaughter. Running back, she encountered a lone drow warrior separated from his party. He pulled her into darkness. "Be quiet, little one," he said. He hid her while her family was murdered. When his companions asked if there were more, he lied. This nameless drow's act of mercy saved Mya's life and eventually changed the course of history on the Sword Coast.
**Remi:** Remi Haventree adopted Mya, giving her a new family that was "dysfunctional and petty and loving and funny." Remi used the story of the drow warrior to teach Mya that drow are not cursed to serve Lolth — that they can make different choices. Mya remained close to the Snobeedle family; Blossom Snobeedle brought her into the Emerald Enclave after her parents' death.
**The Shrine to Eilistraee:** When drow followers of Eilistraee approached Remi asking for help building a shrine in the Field Ward, Remi agreed — and made Mya help. Mya wanted nothing to do with it at first. The drow had killed her family. But Remi reminded her: "Remember the drow who saved your life. He made a different choice." Mya eventually befriended the drow tending the shrine, including Kalanthel Tanor'Thylan, the church's leader. Kal fell in love with Mya. Mya, being Mya, was oblivious.
**House Ulbrinter:** Mya's adopted father, Arthagast Ulbrinter, was a former Masked Lord assassinated by the Cult of the Dragon. Mya loved him. She has two half-elf siblings on the Haventree side — Arthius, studying music in Silverymoon, and Serenore, living on the Moonshae island of Alaron with her family. Mya is close with both but has no interest in the ruling class or House Ulbrinter's internal politics.
**The Emerald Enclave:** Unlike her mother, Mya isn't a Harper. She's Emerald Enclave, like her birth parents. Her primary contacts are Melannor Fellbranch, the groundskeeper of Phaulkonmere, and Jeryth Phaulkon, the demigod servant of Mielikki who manifests as a disembodied voice in the villa gardens. Jeryth and Remi are the two most significant influences on Mya's life.
**The Majordomo:** Mirt hired Mya to serve as the party's majordomo at Trollskull Manor — a job she claimed to have been preparing for her entire life, though she seemed to disagree with Mirt on this point. She established ground rules: her job was to keep them alive, and when she failed, it would be their fault. She reluctantly managed the manor's refurbishment while expressing concern about the many people trying to kill Baldric.
**The Crushing Wave:** Mya was the party's tactical anchor during the war against the Cult of the Crushing Wave. She used Wind Walk to pursue the stolen Devil's Fin. She scried on Gar Shatterkeel to locate him in Mintarn. She created Druid Groves for safe rests in hostile territory. During the climactic battle against Yngukulub, she used Misty Step to bypass two enormous Chuuls and heal Baldric — a calculated risk that Baldric validated by turning his attacks on Gar Shatterkeel. When corrupted Erinyes abducted her and dropped her from the sky, Bussy teleported mid-air to catch her, saving her life.
**The Reincarnator:** Mya possessed a particular talent for bringing people back in new bodies. She reincarnated Jalester Silvermane as a half-orc. After undead Marlos Urnrayle smashed Baldric to pieces, a distraught Mya immediately cast Reincarnate, turning him into a High Elf — like herself.
**Baldric:** Their bond was complicated, deep, and ultimately used against them. Gar Shatterkeel understood that Mya was the person Baldric actually cared about and threatened to destroy her to break him. Graz'zt understood the same thing and acted on it. Baldric tried to bargain his soul for his friends' lives; Graz'zt, frustrated with the con-man's manipulation, drove his sword into Mya instead. She died. Her body withered to a husk. Baldric told her corpse he loved her as a friend during the failed resurrection. Osah suggested he kiss her. He did not.
**The Voice in the Dark:** Mya's soul was trapped in Graz'zt's weapon, but she wasn't silent. Her screaming face appeared in the black tar when Drown was destroyed. Every night, she haunted Baldric's dreams — showing him the important moments of her life, her family's murder, her adoption by Remi, their adventures together. She offered sarcastic commentary and words of encouragement. She warned him when Tharizdun opened the Living Gate. And always, one constant message: "Find me." She guided Baldric to the center of the Shard of Evil during the apocalyptic climax of the Oblivion War.
**Resurrection and Marriage:** When the heroes destroyed the Shard of Evil and defeated Graz'zt, Mya's soul was freed and she was resurrected. She married Kalanthel Tanor'Thylan, the drow warrior who had loved her for years — a woman whose family was killed by drow marrying a redeemed drow. They have twin daughters.
**Guardian of Goldenfields:** Mya became Guardian of Goldenfields, the North's breadbasket. Under her stewardship, the blessed fields have produced unprecedented yields. She founded Lys'Alustriel, a drow enclave dedicated to Eilistraee within Goldenfields' walls — a sanctuary for drow escaping Lolth's tyranny. The shrine her mother started in the Field Ward became a settlement. The lesson of the nameless drow warrior became an institution.
**The Hunt:** Mya departed Goldenfields on a secret mission before recent attacks devastated the settlement. Her absence created a power vacuum that enemies exploited. The mission: hunting Graz'zt, the demon who killed her, whose destruction on the Material Plane was not permanent. The woman who guided Baldric from inside the Shard of Evil is now tracking the creature that put her there.
