If the party ever reaches [[Mezro]], she's the welcome on the other side. She knows the city can't return to [[Chult]] until [[Ras Nsi]] is dead. ## Appearance Tall and imposing, with deep dark skin and piercing green eyes that hold centuries. Chultan warrior garb blended with mystical bara adornments; touches one of her braids to connect to her [[Tabaxi]] roots. ## Personality Persistent, self-confident, quietly haunted. Watches mortals like someone watching candle flames, already mourning their end. Calm and composed, grieving at all times, and treats strangers with gentle melancholy. ## Quote _"The weight of centuries is both privilege and burden. I carry it because Mezro cannot carry itself."_ ## Connections **[[Artus Cimber]]** — husband; his quest to return [[Mezro]] is really about returning to her. **[[Ras Nsi]]** — betrayer of [[Mezro]]; the city can't return until he's dead. **[[Ubtao]]** — the god who chose her as a bara. ## Background **The Choosing:** Born to a Cormyrian explorer and a [[Tabaxi]] woman. [[Ubtao]] chose her as a bara, granting immortality and the charge of protecting [[Mezro]]. **The Exile:** When [[Ras Nsi]] betrayed the city, [[Mezro]] was shifted to a pocket dimension to survive. Alisanda went with it — protector and prisoner both. **The Bond:** [[Artus Cimber]] carries the [[Ring of Winter]] partly because immortality means he might live long enough to find a way back to her. In the [[Nightmare Realm]] she watched her father Dhalmass die as [[Ras Nsi]] claimed the Amulet of the High Barae. ## Stats **Base:** Champion (VGtM p.212) + Devotion Paladin (10th-level equivalent).
