Hatched from a magical egg gifted by the ancient red dragon [[Klauth]], he carries himself with the grandiose bearing of an ancient wyrm. Aboard the [[Grand Dame]] he challenged the adult blue dragon [[Chezzaran]], declaring himself "Cinder the Unmatched" before being obliterated by lightning breath and resummoned by Eldraki's Drake Warden abilities. Now driven by hatred for all blue dragons, he sees his "resurrection" as proof of his destiny to destroy them. %% ## Now _Annihilated again_ — this time by a breath weapon while guarding [[Nelly Sell]] at the northern battle (SKT 86). Resummonable, as ever. ## Appearance Resplendent red scales with blackened edges that shimmer like molten lava, imposing horns, and expansive wings he spreads dramatically at every opportunity. His eyes burn with particular fury when he spots anything blue. ## Personality Supremely overconfident, dramatically vengeful, absolutely loyal to [[Eldraki]]. Speaks in grandiose, theatrical tones and hisses at anything blue. Refuses to acknowledge he was actually killed by [[Chezzaran]] — insists he "strategically withdrew to the celestial realm" — and becomes even more dramatic when reminded of his death. ## Quote _"Behold, inferior creatures!
