During [[Vulkazar]]'s attack on the [[Shadowtop Cathedral]] he helped [[Garrett Stormhawk]] to his feet, then both were lured into the [[Dire Wood]] by [[Dawn]], one of [[Nymara]]'s extensions. In the confrontation that followed, the heroes refused [[Nymara]]'s bargains, and [[Gunther Boomfizzle|Gunther]] was left broken but living — a goblin who believes [[Astra]] loves him. %% ## Now Traveling with the party, still convinced [[Astra]] loves him. He has nearly blown himself up more than once, and recently cleared a ghoul pack with a rare bomb that did not go off in his hands. ## Appearance Wiry goblin with soot-smudged green skin and wild, hopeful eyes that track [[Astra]] whenever she is near. His leather armor bristles with bulging pockets, dangling tools, and at least one thing that is definitely smoking. ## Personality Brilliant, obsessive, and desperately optimistic. Talks too fast when nervous, which is always around [[Astra]]. Channels rejection into invention — every gadget is a problem he can solve when people are problems he can't. Brave when it matters. Believes love is earned through grand gestures and persistence, and has never considered that persistence might not be romantic. ## Quote _"I made this for you! It only explodes sometimes. The good kind of explodes."_ ## Connections **[[Astra]]** — the object of his love; she says she wants him in her life. **[[Garrett Stormhawk]]** — threw himself into burning ruins to save him. **[[Nymara]]** — used him as a pawn against [[Astra]]. ## Background **The Gutter:** Grew up in [[Neverwinter]]'s gutters, surviving on scraps and stolen components. Found family in the [[Red Daggers]], where his talent for making things explode earned him a place. **Astra:** Fell for [[Astra]] years ago — her kindness felt like sunlight after a lifetime of being stepped over. When she left the [[Gilded Gallows]] he told himself she would come back, then that she was protecting him.
