# Hrogar Giantsbane

## Summary
[[Dreyvarg Drazhan|Dreyvarg]]'s most loyal warrior and oldest friend—he still calls her Hertha. Massive, boisterous, tells outrageous stories about killing giants (at least one is probably true).

## At a Glance
Enormous even by northern standards, with a beard like a bramble bush and arms like tree trunks. Scars everywhere—he shows them off and has a story for each. Laughs too loud, drinks too much, takes up too much space in every room. Wears a giant's tooth on a cord around his neck.
He's been at Hertha's side since they were children in the [[Tribe of the Elk]]. When she became [[Dreyvarg Drazhan|Dreyvarg]] and took up the Red Wolf mantle, he didn't care about prophecy—he cared that his friend needed him. Treats the war against [[Isarr Kronenstrom]] as a personal grudge.
Secretly in love with her, which everyone knows except the two of them. Older brother to [[Sigrid Giantsbane]]. Will die for Hertha without hesitation and laugh while doing it.
## Personality
Boisterous, crude, fiercely loyal. Covers deeper feelings with bluster and tall tales. Surprisingly perceptive about others but completely blind to his own heart. Gets quiet when Hertha is in danger—that's when he's most dangerous.

## Background
**The Giantsbane Name:** His grandfather earned the name killing a frost giant that wandered too close to Elk territory. Hrogar has spent his whole life trying to live up to it—and probably has.
**Hertha's Shadow:** Grew up alongside the girl the elders whispered about. Never cared about prophecy. She was just Hertha, his friend, the girl who could outfight boys twice her size. When she became something more, he stayed exactly the same.
