At the [[Indirovich Estate]], [[Strahd von Zarovich]] charmed him and used him to try to voice the invitation Ireena would not give; the party scrambled to silence him. Drunk at the Vistani camp, he somehow married a Vistani girl, [[Valentina]], then abandoned her the next morning. He was killed in the attack on St. Andral's Church and, unable to pass through Barovia's mists, returned as a ghost. Valentina, come to kill him for leaving her, instead resolved to bring him back; the [[The Abbot]] in [[Krezk]] resurrected him. He and Valentina reconciled. %% ## Now _Alive again after the Abbot's resurrection; reconciled with Valentina and back among the party's allies._ ## Appearance A young wizard, love-struck and impulsive, quick to make a fool of himself. ## Personality Infatuated and rash, prone to grand gestures and poor judgment — chiefly around Ireena. As a ghost he grew reflective, giving speeches about second chances. He returned to life humbled and committed to his marriage. ## Connections **[[Ireena]]** — the object of his early, hopeless infatuation. **[[Valentina]]** — his wife; abandoned, then reconciled with. **[[Strahd von Zarovich]]** — charmed him and used him against Ireena. ## Background **Charmed:** At the Indirovich Estate, Strahd charmed Icarus into speaking his invitation for him; the party silenced Icarus by any means to stop it. **Death and Return:** Killed at St. Andral's, his spirit could not leave Barovia and returned to the church as a ghost. He possessed [[Bluto Krogarov|Bluto]] at [[Lake Zarovich]] and read his memories. The [[The Abbot]] resurrected him in exchange for the party securing a wedding dress. %%
