!LadyFionaWachterPathfinder-v1.webp # Lady Fiona Wachter _Human Noble, Cult Leader | Cult of Asmodeus | Vallaki_ ## Summary A Vallaki noblewoman and rival of Baron Vargas Vallakovich, and the secret leader of a Cult of Asmodeus hidden behind a book club. She tried to recruit the party into a scheme against the Baron. When Strahd von Zarovich's enforcer Izek Strazni died and the Baron's grip failed, she seized Vallaki and installed herself as Baroness. The party killed her when they arrived to stop her from executing the old Baron. %% ## Now _Concluded._ Killed in her own estate when a disguised Victor, out of patience, fireballed her — moments after learning she was in a room with Strahd's killers. ## Appearance A composed, well-dressed noblewoman who hosts lunches and runs a book club, all impeccable manners over a cult's ambition. ## Personality Poised, contemptuous of the Baron, and openly conspiratorial with anyone she thinks she can use. She reveals more than she should — she let slip to the party at their first lunch that her book club worships Asmodeus. Ruthless enough to launch a coup and stage a public hanging, but she reframes it all as reluctant duty. Alarmed only once: on realizing the people in front of her had killed Strahd. ## Quote _"I only reluctantly launched a coup, and reluctantly allowed myself to be made Baroness."_ ## Connections **Vargas Vallakovich** — rival; the Baron she deposed and meant to hang. **Nikolai and Karl Wachter** — her two troublemaking sons. ## Background **The rival.** Lady Wachter opposed Baron Vargas Vallakovich, whom she considered a fool. She invited the party to lunch, tried to recruit them into a scheme against him, and revealed her book club was in fact a Cult of Asmodeus. **The coup.** When Izek Strazni died and the Baron lost his grip on Vallaki, Wachter's cult seized the town. She made herself Baroness and scheduled the old Baron's execution at sundown. **Death.** The party arrived to stop the hanging, bluffed past her new cultist guards, and told her Strahd was dead. She grew alarmed to be in a room with people who could kill Strahd — and died when a disguised Victor lost patience and fireballed her. Vallaki was liberated and, at the party's urging, turned to democracy. ## Stats **Base:** Fiona Wachter (Curse of Strahd) / Cult Fanatic-tier caster with cult backup. Her death came from a single impatient fireball rather than a drawn-out fight. %%
