# Madam Eva
_Vistani Seer | Vistani | Tser Pool_
## Summary
The Vistani fortune-teller at the Tser Pool camp. Ludovic guided the party to her, and she proved her power by naming a secret each of them carried before reading the cards. Her five-card Tarokka reading set the course of the campaign: an evil tree, a holy symbol in a lonely mill, a sword of sunlight in a drowned village, a lone Vistana at Saint Markovia's abbey, and Strahd in the tomb of the man he envied. She was later revealed as Strahd von Zarovich's half-sister, who longed to free him through the release of death and believed Ludovic and Arabelle would lead the Vistani out of the darkness. Baba Yaga killed and ate her to prove Barovia was without hope.

## Now
_Dead — killed and consumed by Baba Yaga off-screen, reported to Ludovic by the woman who smelled of pine and lightning._
## Appearance
An ancient Vistani woman, wrapped in scarves, seated in a candlelit tent above Tser Pool.
## Personality
Serene and certain, speaking in the measured cadence of prophecy. She knows more than she shows and gives it out on her own terms. Warm toward the Vistani, patient with outsiders, unbothered by threats.
## Connections
**Strahd von Zarovich** — half-brother; she sought to free him through death.
**Ludovic Boyash** — Vistani boy she believed destined to save his people.
**Baba Yaga** — killed and ate her.
## Background
**The Reading:** Her Tarokka draw pointed the party to every artifact and ally they would need against Strahd, and named him their enemy. Ludovic interpreted the cryptic results into usable intel.
**Her Secret:** Half-sister to Strahd, she wanted his curse ended by his death, not his triumph. She held that Ludovic and Arabelle were destined to lead the Vistani out of Barovia.
