Gruff, heavy-set man who provided funding and equipment for the party's adventuring company. Devastated by [[Eather Heilean]]'s death, he made repeated failed attempts to resurrect her. Possessed by the demon [[Ragazuu]], who forced him to kill [[Laeral Silverhand]] and revealed disturbing information about the [[Tharizdun|Chained Oblivion]]. Even while possessed, he struggled against demonic control. After being freed, briefly served as [[Open Lord]] following [[Laeral Silverhand|Laeral]]'s death—mumbling warnings about the [[Shadow King]] in [[Amn]] and telling [[Reg]] to "Find El" (referring to [[Elminster]]). Died heroically in the final battle against [[Graz'zt]] and the [[Demon Lords]], standing alongside [[Durnan]], [[Meloon Wardragon]], and [[Hlam]] in defense of [[Waterdeep]].
