!NathalyKormallisPathfinder-v3.webp !Nathaly Alternative.webp # Nathaly Kormallis _Human Soulmonger | House Kormallis | Old Skull Tor_ ## Summary Fallen noble turned unwitting vessel, imprisoned within her own mind while Tashara controls her body. Childhood friend of Petra who gained Soulmonger abilities after dying and being resurrected during their confrontation. She helped the heroes secure the Mythallar and kill Valindra Shadowmantle at the Dread Ring before Tashara teleported them away. %% ## Now Watches helplessly as Tashara uses their shared body for rituals at Old Skull Tor — including the walk to the Black Mirror, where Tenebrous reached into her and demanded freedom. She surfaced far enough to reach Petra directly — *Petra, I'm so cold* — and pulled her along for the walk to the mirror. Petra placed the chamber (S90). The party has crossed into the Shadowfell half. Petra can hear her souls again and places her to the southwest, and a *Telepathic Bond* meant to reach Darius Duskdancer runs through their connection (S93). ## Appearance Ice-blue eyes and dyed blood-red hair, dark shadows beneath her eyes. Her features shift subtly as Tashara's control rises and falls. ## Personality Desperate, resilient, haunted by guilt but increasingly determined. Her time in the Nightmare Realm alongside Petra gave her the strength to resist Tashara. When she surfaces, she speaks in hurried, urgent whispers and touches her temples fighting for control. ## Quote _"Freedom isn't just physical — it's the ability to live with the consequences of your own choices, not someone else's."_ ## Connections **Petra** — childhood friend and Soulmonger bond; her lifeline to the outside. **Tashara** — the spirit possessing her body. **Rosalyn Kormallis** — sister she accidentally killed; her guilt is the lever Tashara used. **Lucian Margaster** — cruel betrothed she fled to escape an arranged marriage. **Valindra Shadowmantle** — served under her, then helped kill her. ## Background **The Kormallis Heir:** Raised in House Kormallis, where affection was currency and weakness invited punishment. Her friendship with Petra was a rare real connection, and its loss cut deep when her father's wounded pride poisoned relations between the houses. **The Transformation:** A childhood confrontation with Petra left Nathaly briefly dead after a fall. Their touch during the struggle transferred Petra's Soulmonger abilities. Resurrected, she returned able to hear the dead and grew increasingly isolated as the power surfaced. **Tashara's Vessel:** When she found Tashara's spellbook, the necromancer recognized an ideal vessel — a Soulmonger desperate enough not to question. The accidental death of Rosalyn broke her, and she surrendered more control to Tashara for the promise of resurrecting her sister. **The Red Wizards:** Fleeing marriage to Lucian Margaster, she went nomadic and absorbed souls under Tashara's guidance. In Neverwinter she killed Red Wizard Morvvanna Darkweave, learned of Lucian's tie to Valindra Shadowmantle, and — urged by Tashara — approached Valindra offering her abilities. **Valindra's Service:** Valindra tested her by ordering Darius Duskdancer's assassination. When Nathaly hesitated, Tashara took full control, killed Darius, and absorbed his soul. She also secured the Tome of Unlife from the banshee Deneth Starfeon in Conyberry. %%
