# Abbathor
*God, God of Greed | Dwarven pantheon | The Gray Waste of Hades*
## Summary
[[Abbathor]], the Trove Lord, is the dwarven god of greed, desire, and avarice. Unlike other members of the dwarven pantheon who value craftsmanship and community, [[Abbathor]] represents the corrupting influence of wealth and the destructive power of unchecked desire. His symbol is a jeweled dagger, and he is worshipped by those who seek wealth at any cost. While technically part of the dwarven pantheon, his worship is often secret and frowned upon by respectable dwarven society. [[Abbathor]] encourages theft, betrayal for profit, and the accumulation of treasure above all other values.
[[Abbathor]]'s influence appears through the ancient dwarven ruins of [[Giltvein]] and the [[Crown of Avarice]] that once belonged to the beholder [[Nagish]]. The dwarf [[Garin Rockharvest]] sought to claim this crown to become a Chosen of [[Abbathor]], believing it would grant him divine power and endless wealth. The ruined settlement of [[Giltvein]] itself was dedicated to [[Abbathor]]'s worship, its bridges and architecture bearing carvings of the Trove Lord, representing the corruption that greed can bring to even the most industrious dwarven communities.
