Created during the Dawn Cataclysm when the goddess [[Tyche]] was split apart, [[Beshaba]] embodies all the negative aspects of chance and fate. Her symbol is a pair of black antlers on a red field, and she is feared rather than worshipped by most. Those who do serve her are often bitter individuals who have suffered great misfortunes or seek to inflict suffering on others. [[Beshaba]] delights in ruining carefully laid plans and bringing downfall to the proud and fortunate. In Storm King's Thunder, [[Beshaba]] serves as a major antagonist through her corruption of the former [[Tymora]] cleric [[Beregond]], transforming him into her Chosen. She also created [[Asha]], "The Calamity," from [[Beregond]]'s dead twin sister, binding the malevolent spirit to spread misfortune. Through her followers, the [[Doombringers]], [[Beshaba]] has systematically corrupted [[Yartar]], turning the city of luck into a monument to misfortune through orchestrated disasters and infiltration of [[Tymora]]'s temple at the [[Happy Hall of Fortuitous Happenstance]]. Her influence threatens to prove that even the most blessed places can fall to inevitable bad luck.
