![[GruumshPic.png]] # Gruumsh *God, God of Orcs and Conquest | Orc pantheon | Nishrek* ## Summary Gruumsh, the One-Eyed God, is the chaotic evil deity of orcs, conquest, strength, and survival. He appears as a massive orc with one burning red eye (the other was taken by Corellon Larethian in ancient battle), wielding a great spear. His symbol is an unwinking red eye, and he's worshipped by orcs, half-orcs, and others who embrace strength through conflict. Gruumsh teaches that the strong deserve to rule, that conflict makes warriors stronger, and that orcs must take what others would deny them. He represents primal rage, the drive to conquer, and survival through violence. Gruumsh's eternal hatred of elves stems from his belief that [[Corellon Larethian]] and the other gods cheated orcs out of their rightful lands during the world's creation. This drives much of the ancient enmity between orcs and elves, though some orcs seek different paths than endless warfare.
