![[iuz_the_evil.jpg]] # Iuz the Evil *Cambion (Demigod), Demigod of Deceit, Evil, Oppression, Pain, and Wickedness | Empire of Iuz | Empire of Iuz* ## Summary **Iuz the Evil**, known as The Old One and Old Wicked, is the chaotic evil demigod son of [[Graz'zt]] and the witch [[Iggwilv]]. He rules the Empire of Iuz on the material plane rather than dwelling in the outer planes like most deities. During a battle between his parents, Iuz was split into two forms—he can appear as either a feeble old man barely five feet tall who spits disgusting acid, or as an 8-foot-tall demon with reddish skin, pointed ears, and long steely fingers. Iuz became a demigod through horrific rituals that drained power from other beings, and he allied himself with creatures like [[Zuggtmoy]], the demon queen of fungi. His symbol is a grinning human skull with blood-red highlights. He's served by the Boneheart, evil spellcasters who help run his empire, and the Boneshadow, his spy network. During the Chained Oblivion campaign, Iuz infiltrated a [[Lords' Alliance]] meeting in Neverwinter by disguising himself as High Mage [[Taern Hornblade]] from Silverymoon. When the party cast the Hollow spell to keep fiends out of the meeting, Iuz couldn't attend, which made [[Baldric]], [[Elkane]], [[Mya]], and [[Xyrbwynn]] suspicious. They tracked him down and forced him to reveal his true identity. In the fight that followed, he aged [[Xyrbwynn]] ten years with his acid spit and nearly killed both her and [[Mya]] before teleporting away.
