![[SharPathfinder-v3.webp]] # Shar *God, Goddess of Darkness and Loss | Towers of Night (Shadowfell)* ## Summary [[Shar]], the Mistress of the Night, is the goddess of darkness, loss, forgetfulness, and secrets. She and her twin [[Selûne]] emerged together from the primordial dark before creation — and where Selûne chose to make light, Shar held that the original emptiness was the only true state and that everything made since is an error waiting to be corrected. Her symbol is a black disk rimmed in deep purple, and she rules from the Towers of Night in the [[Shadowfell]]. She is worshipped by the bitter, the grieving, and the vengeful; her clergy find people at their worst moment and offer to take the pain away, which they do by taking the memory, and much of the person with it. Sharran faith is organized in secret cells that distrust one another and hoard what they know. She wove the Shadow Weave as a rival to Mystra's, and she works, patiently and without end, toward the unmaking of everything her sister helped build.
