This horrific creature was described as a 66-foot tall mountain of slippery black tar that fed off the Elemental Chaos, with twisted faces bubbling to its surface, crying out in agony or cackling with mad glee. Buried beneath the [[Temple of Elemental Evil]] in the [[Dessarin Valley]], it was meant to be raised through the Ebon Ritual conducted by [[Tharizdun]]'s followers after the battle of [[Waterdeep]]. However, [[Reg]]'s powerful and charismatic speech about sacrifice and hope caused the ritual to fail, disrupting [[Graz'zt]] and [[Tharizdun]]'s final contingency plan.
