# Talona
*Goddess, Goddess of Disease and Poison | Disease Cults | Catacombs (Abyss)*
## Summary
[[Talona]], the Lady of Poison, is the goddess of disease, poison, and the suffering they bring. She appears as a pale, gaunt woman with long white hair, often depicted wearing tattered robes and surrounded by a cloud of disease and decay. Her symbol is three teardrops in a triangle, and she is worshipped by those who spread disease, create poisons, and revel in the suffering of others. [[Talona]] teaches that pain and suffering are inevitable parts of existence, that weakness deserves to be purged, and that those who survive her trials become stronger. She represents the cruel aspects of nature—plague, blight, and the slow death that comes from corruption.
In the [[Rage of Dragons]] campaign, [[Talona]]'s influence appears through the [[Dreamthorn Venom]] used by the [[Blightmaidens]] to poison key leaders at the [[Goldenfields]]. This insidious toxin, likely blessed by [[Talona]]'s power, induced deep comas in victims including [[Ellardin Darovik]], [[Carric Erenaeth]], and [[Naxene Drathkala]], leaving them trapped in nightmarish visions while the hags manipulated events around them. The poison's supernatural properties required rare [[Feywild]] flowers to create an antidote, demonstrating [[Talona]]'s desire to make healing as difficult and costly as possible. The [[Blightmaidens]]' corruption of [[Lifferlas]] and their creation of diseased plants throughout the [[Goldenfields]] also bore hallmarks of [[Talona]]'s twisted blessing.
