A powerful shapeshifter who appeared as either a tall, dark figure with antlers or a massive black elk; yellow eyes and a cloud of fireflies remained constant across all forms. In his early days, Manitou was brutal and power-hungry. He had many lovers over centuries, including [[Titania]] before she married [[Oberon]]. His wandering ended when he met [[Mab]]. Their alliance produced [[Pellowea]], and when she disappeared to [[Cania]], both parents were devastated. After years of failed searches, they blamed each other and separated. After leaving Mab, he met the dryad [[Adrestia]] (later [[Nemesis]]). He taught her warfare, they fell in love, and together founded [[Ramnus]] as a sanctuary for the oppressed. Losing both his family and Nemesis broke him. He wandered the multiverse for centuries, creating the fauns, growing tired of violence. He returned during the War of Shadow and Light when [[Kali]] found him at Nemesis's dying request. He brought [[Mephistopheles]]' true name—knowledge essential for imprisoning the archdevil—and helped resurrect the [[Maiden of the Moon]], turning the tide at Silverbrook. In the final battle, he brought [[Mab]] back to life so she could fight beside her siblings one last time.
