His remains in the Neverwinter Wood powered the necromantic [[Dread Ring]] created by the Red Wizards. Later resurrected as a dracolich by [[Valindra Shadowmantle]]—his soul bound to a phylactery under her absolute control. In the final battle at the Dread Ring, he engaged in aerial combat with [[Klauth]] within the spire. His physical form was destroyed when [[Petra]] detonated the Abyssal Bomb. %% ## At a Glance Massive skeletal black dragon wreathed in necrotic energy. Glowing red eye sockets. Tattered wing membranes stretched between exposed bone. Wisps of acidic vapor curl from his jaws. Necrotic energy crackles along his spine. Booming, echoing voice filled with ancient malice and reluctant subservience. Speaks with the arrogance of ancient nobility forced into servitude. Proud, bitter, resentful of his undead state and control by Valindra. ## Personality Harbors hatred for Eldenser, the amethyst dragon who originally killed him. Now seeks revenge against the heroes who destroyed the Dread Ring, particularly Petra. Reformation will take months—during which he's vulnerable but growing stronger.
