# Haayon the Punisher
_Cloud Giant Prophet | [[Cult of the Howling Storm]] | [[Stormwatch Spire]]_
## Summary
Cloud giant warlord rebuilding [[Stormwatch Spire]] as a flying fortress. Holds [[Harshnag]] hostage. Wears the [[Stormcrown]]—stolen symbol of storm giant supremacy. Everything wrong in his life is someone else's fault.
He stole the Stormcrown from [[Maelstrom]] as deliberate sacrilege against [[Hekaton]]'s authority. When the [[Cindersworn]] came to recover it, he tried to unleash its full might mid-battle without knowing how. The resulting surge collapsed his castle. His family died in the rubble. He survived—mysterious winds carried him to safety—and decided this meant he was chosen.
Now a delusional wind goddess ([[Aerisi Kalinoth]], transformed) tells him he's special, and he's building her a weapon of mass destruction. If the Spire launches, it's a mobile apocalypse.

## At a Glance
Slate-blue skin, battle-scarred, built like a siege weapon. Crimson robes covered in swirling air runes. The Stormcrown—massive silver and electrum circlet set with storm runes and sapphires—sits on his brow like stolen authority. Left eye glows with elemental energy. Wind moves around him constantly.
Deep rumble that rises to thunder when he's angry, which is often. Sweeping gestures that cause actual gusts. Doesn't look at small folk. Talks past them, around them, over them. Arrogant, self-righteous, incapable of accepting blame.
## Personality
Punishes others for his own failures. Genuinely believes he's the victim in every story he's ever been part of. His pride ("Prophet's Fury") makes him vulnerable—when mocked or insulted, he has disadvantage on Wisdom saves.
He doesn't know his goddess is a puppet. He doesn't know every sacrifice he sends her feeds [[Acererak]]'s machine. He just knows he was right all along.
Tortures [[Harshnag]] for old grudges—thirty years ago, Harshnag helped Hekaton hunt him down and destroy his second castle. Everyone thought he died. He's been waiting for this.
## Quote
_"She chose me when the gods of giantkind abandoned me. Together, we will punish this world that rejected the true order."_
## Background
**The First Fall:** A cloud giant lord known for harsh justice—"the Punisher" was a title he earned and liked. But he resented storm giant supremacy. The Stormcrown was forged as a symbol of that hierarchy; he stole it as deliberate sacrilege. The Cindersworn came to recover it. His hubris killed his family.
**The Blame:** He couldn't accept that small folk defeated him. Couldn't accept his own hubris. So he blamed the Cindersworn. Blamed Hekaton. Blamed the giant pantheon.
**The Prophet:** Years in hiding, gathering followers who rejected the Ordning. Then Aerisi Kalinoth—transformed, radiant, hovering—appeared as a windswept goddess. She returned the Stormcrown, legitimizing his claim. Called him her prophet. Pointed him toward Stormwatch Spire.
He's captured djinni engineer [[Ahtayir]] to repair the Air Node. Captured Harshnag for revenge. Captured [[Victoria Belabranta]] and her friends when they came looking for Savras.
